2022 update: I now use SVG emoji. View the page source to see.

I need an icon, favicon, etc. I have one from my old website, but it might be nice to migrate to a newer, simpler one. I prefer SVG for everything if possible.

The Sara Soueidan website here seems to have it figured out.

She also links to this, which explains why SVG is winner winner.
